Calling All Shutterbugs!
The yearbook committee is already working hard on the 2007-2008 Annual. If you have pictures from your child's classroom activities and would like to see them in our next yearbook please share them with us. Save your pictures to disk and drop them off in the school office. We'd love to include them!
Albertsons’ Community Partners
In the past, Albertsons’ stores provided patrons a Preferred Savings card from which a portion of spending could be designated to St. James Day School. A new Community Partners card, which you have received, has replaced that card. Our school will receive 1% on the first $50,000 our supporters spend and 5% on everything over $50,00 per quarter. This is a great way for our school to earn money. All you need to do is scan your card every time you shop at Albertsons’. Please encourage friends and family members to use this card. We have extra cards in the office for you to distribute to friends and family members.

Expert Tutors via the Internet at the Texarkana Public Library
Children and teenagers in Texarkana never have to be stumped by a tough homework assignment again! Students from 4th grade to 12th grade, and in introductory-level college courses, can simply visit the Texarkana Public Library or the library’s Web site to get on-demand, free help from qualified tutors. The Texarkana Public Library now offers Live Homework HelpTM, an online tutoring service from Tutor.com TM that connects students to expert tutors (at no charge) in math, science, social studies, and English via the Internet. Spanish-speaking tutors are available to help students in math and science.
Please remember our Domtar recycling bin when you dispose of paper products and boxes. The bin welcomes old magazines, newspaper, paper, phone books, and shredded paper. Every pound means our school receives a larger check from Domtar. Please help our school and the environment.
Not only can you purchase the Texas Roadhouse gift certificate in the school office, you can pick it up in the school office, as well. This is a time-saving and convenient way to shop!
