Consulting Librarian
Five years ago, Ms. Hall moved our choice existing books, 1500 of them, from the old library (now the St. James Reception Room) to the renovated facilities behind the Administration Building. From that meager start, she, with the devoted help of many, many parents, transformed our library into one in which we can be rightfully proud! Today's library has 8039 items as well as an Internet connected iMac serving as the building's research station. In addition, Barbara successfully installed a top of the line cataloging program on the Librarian's Mac G3 and keeps our school aware of current developments in the field through her membership in the Texas Librarian's Association. She is also instrumental in helping mentor a research project required of each St. James class during the school year.
The goal of the Library Committee and Ms. Hall is to acquire 9000 items, making St. James an "exemplary library" according to the requirements of the Texas State Library association.isit the St. James Library to see for yourself what treasures await our lucky students!
