Strings, music reports, flutophones, recorders, and handmade instruments! Such are the learning experiences in St. James music classes.

We sing; we read music; we play instruments; and we perform!

Jordan Parker
Bachelor of Music, Henderson State University

Our new music teacher, Jordan Parker, hails from Franklin, Tennessee. Not only is he a new graduate of Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee, but is a NEWLYWED! Jordan moved to Hope, Arkansas this summer with his bride, and they are thrilled to be part of the St. James family. Jordan’s degree is a B.S. in Music Education K-12. He has worked with preschool through high school music classes, and even has experience with boomwhackers! Mr. Parker is an accomplished pianist, an experienced woodwind technician, and a church pianist/music leader. He has also worked with 2nd graders in the Junior Achievement program. We welcome Jordan and his wife to Texarkana and to St. James Day School. Music classes meet 3 times weekly (twice weekly for K4 and K5). Jordan also offers private piano lessons to St. James students and siblings after school.
